Stephanie Hottelier Arrowood is an American-Swiss artist who grew up and completed her B.A. in Art Studio at Queens University in the United States.
As a student, Stephanie won several awards for her photography, notably one national level award. She was the recipient of the scholarship to Queens University for her art and she was awarded the Art Studio departmental prize in her final year of studies. Her art exhibitions in the United States were primarily of her printmaking and photography. She has been in Switzerland since 2009 and has had a studio at Les Ateliers de la Côte since 2020. In the past several years she has been focused on painting, mainly oil painting, but also acrylic and watercolor. She was chosen as a member of Espace Artistes Femmes in 2022.
Her past exhibitions were in the United States, a solo exhibition at the Arboretum in Aubonne (2022) and in Rolle (2024), Switzerland and an international outdoor exhibition in Carpentras, France (2023) and a collective exhibition at the Mentbenon Casino in Lausanne, both with Espace Artiste Femmes (2023).
As she grew up in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina, nature has always been a source of inspiration for her. She likes to play with the use of color and line to communicate the feeling of a particular place and time. Her more recent series are more focused on the strength of women, equality, and the environment.
